Affogato using out of date almond extract

Don't beleive the 'use-by' date on extracts. After all, extracts are just vodka that have had a flavouring soaked into it. Does vodka have a 'use-by' date? No. In fact, to make our own extracts just steep vanilla or almonds or lemons etc ect in vodka and strain - so simple - google the quantities.

Anyways.... I had a bottle of extract that was 9 years (yes nine) out of date, but I didn't fret. It smelled ok. It wasn't cloudy. Almond affogato called out to me. One of #MusicMick's favourite desserts and since it was his birthday......

Take vanilla ice cream, 4 teaspoons of espresso coffee poweder (the best but any coffee will do at a pinch) dissolved in one cup of boiling water, add a teaspoon of almond extract....even nine years out of date extract
