Fried Banana Skins

Savoury crispy banana skins - who knew?!

The finished product above - look strange - taste yummy!

Take a ripe banana - one with blck dots on its skin - not a green one!

Peel it and scoop away the inner white pith with a spoon.

Slice into strips - you should get 4-6 segments from one banana.

In a jar, mix up 2-3 tablepsoons of light soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of maple or golden syrup, 1/2-1 teaspoon of paprike, 1/2-1 teaspoon of garlic powder.

Marinade the skins in this mixture for 10 minutes or up to 2 hours.

Fry in a tablespoon or two of oil (or oil and butter) until they get bubbles on the surface - turning once - takes 2-3 minutes per side.

Drain until cold on kitchen paper - they get crispy as they get cold.

Fantastic canape with cocktails!

Check out Music Mick in the SOS kitchen taste corner video below - tasting them for the first time.
