A soup made from anything and everything - total madness!
Just head to your fridge and pull out any bits and bobs that are due to be thrown out - in this soup: I had a few spoons of coleslaw (yes wth mayonnaise on it), some browning lettuce and softening red cabbage, a couple of floppy carrots, and the remnants of a sherperdess pie.
I added this to a slow cooker, covered it with cold water and let it simmer away all day:

Then I liquidised and strained it though a sieve, pushing all the flavour through with a ladle:

The mush got chucked on the bird table and devoured by the starlings.
The sieved stock (which needed no seasoning as it was sooo full of flavour - but you should check for seasoning in your own madness stock) then had some fresh chopped vegetables added - I had carrots, spinach, mushrooms, and leeks.

The soup was then simmered until the vegetables were tender and I threw in a handful of elbow macaroni (it was the last few bits in a packet at the back of the cupboard)

And once the pasta was soft, I grated the last of a dried up piece of cheddar cheese and let it melt on the hot soup.

#MusicMick gave it 10 from 10 in #TasteCorner
So head to your fridge and cupboard and make your own Madness Soup - anything goes!
